Las Vegas Market Opens With Expanded Exhibitors, Registered Attendees

Monday July 29th, 2013 - 11:54AM

Vegas Market Temporaries have been expanded to three floors.

The Las Vegas Market opened its summer show with added resources, expanded showrooms and a beefed up Temporaries exhibition space today, July 29. The show which runs through Friday, August 2, will be held at the World Market Center. For this summer’s show, the Market has added numerous exhibitors in an effort to expand its pull in the gift and home décor and home resource categories.

Vegas Market has added three new floors this year and has moved and expanded its temporary exhibitors, with nearly 120 new resources among the Market’s 390+ temporary exhibitors for this week’s show.

“Retailers who haven’t been to the Las Vegas Market in the past year, will be amazed at the change in size, scope and depth of gift and home décor resources. During the last market alone, we added 70 new showrooms, 170 new temporary exhibitors and 230,000 square feet of resources.” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “Las Vegas Market is the only cross-category market that presents the “total home” concept from home furnishings to decorative accessories to gift, and is the only market that is in a constant state of growth and evolution.”

According to the Market, its intensive Retail Relations outreach efforts and accelerated resource growth had fueled large gains in home décor and gift registration for the Summer 2013 Market, with an estimated 3,500+ new-to-market buyers from these categories representing all 50 states expected to attend this summer’s market for the first time. Concurrent with the surge in registration activity, traffic on the Gift + Home web site was up 539% for the Summer Market compared to a year ago.
