The Housewares Export Council (HECNA), a special interest group of International Housewares Association members, is sponsoring a global forum featuring educational sessions on key retailers, market opportunities and international business issues for sales professionals and housewares suppliers looking to grow their international business. The forum will be held September 15-18 in Panama City, Panama.
The forum is open to HECNA and non-HECNA members and sessions are geared toward both novice and experienced sales managers. The program will begin with a retail tour of Panama City followed by an optional "HECNA 101: International Essentials" session for new attendees.
Additional sessions will cover exporting, problem solving and key opportunity sessions on Australia, Brazil, Colombia, France, Panama and South Africa. A buyer reception and tabletop trade show will be held the evening of Sept. 17. Closing out the program is an optional visit to the the world's second largest free trade zone: Colon Duty Free Trade Zone.
