Breville Pty. Ltd, Brevillle USA, Inc. and StoreBound have announced an agreement to resolve Breville’s patent litigation lawsuit against StoreBound relating to StoreBound’s Dash juice extractor. The suit arose out of claims by Breville against StoreBound for infringement of two of Breville’s juice extractor patents.
In connection with the settlement, StoreBound acknowledged infringement of the Breville patents and will continue to sell juicer extractors. The terms of the parties’ settlement are not public and remain confidential.
Damian Court, president of Breville USA stated, “We are pleased with today’s outcome, which validates Breville’s patents that set our juicers apart from others. We shall continue to assert our right sand defend our intellectual property as we continue to develop innovative and exciting new appliances and products to enrich the lives of our consumers on the global stage."
Contacted by HomeWorld Business for comment, StoreBound CEO Evan Dash said, “We are pleased to have reached a settlement with Breville to put this matter behind us. StoreBound respects intellectual property and looks forward to bringing new innovative products to the marketplace.”
