Fagor America has teamed up with America’s Test Kitchen to release a limited Fagor edition of the Test Kitchen’s recently released cookbook, Pressure Cooker Perfection.
Fagor plans to make its exclusive edition of the book available to its retail partners. According to Patricio Barriga, president of Fagor America, the book will be a gift with purchase (GWP) to retailers that commit to running pressure cooker demos and other related category promotional activities. “We want to provide this as the ‘software’ that accompanies the pressure cooker to make it easier for people to use and enjoy their pressure cooker,” Barriga said.
The new cookbook covers basic pressure cooker use, and includes recipes and reviews of pressure cookers tested by the America’s Test Kitchen chefs. Earlier this year, America’s Test Kitchen named the Fagor Duo 8-quart cooker as “Highly Recommended” and an overall “Best Buy,” following comprehensive testing.
According to Jack Bishop, editorial director at America’s Test Kitchen, “For today’s lifestyle where people want to prepare food more quickly a pressure cooker is a an ideal solution.”
Featuring more than 100 recipes designed specifically for pressure cooking, the 168-page cookbook includes recipes, as well as information about buying, and use and care of both stovetop and electric pressure cookers.
“This is possibly the most comprehensive and detailed guide ever written on pressure cooking,” said Sara de la Hera, vp/sales and marketing at Fagor.
