A producer of décor items for inside and outside the home, FlashPoint Candle has announced a strategic partnership with Rowe Pottery Works to develop exclusive lifestyle products. The two organizations are leveraging their operations in the United States even as they work on distinctive candles highlighting traditional methods and techniques of pottery making.

Based in Brentwood, TN, Flashpoint has sourced its ceramic containers from southern Asia and Europe but hand-pours and hand-wicks all its candles at a 160,000-square-foot production and warehousing facility in Ohio, the companies noted. With operations in Cambridge, WI, Rowe is a full-line U.S. custom pottery manufacturer, they added.

Via the deal, the companies will introduce quality, American-made vessels crafted of eco-friendly components and employing sophisticated finishes and graceful designs, they said. The items will roll in 2014 as part of the FlashPoint Candle product portfolio.

In announcing the partnership, FlashPoint Candle’s founder and CEO, Drea Groeschel characterized the new products as home décor that can make purchasers proud. As is the case with its other products, FlashPoint designs these new candle vessels so purchasers can reuse and repurpose them as bakeware, food and dip containers, planters and floral vases, wine chillers, ice buckets, or other decorative home additions. Introduction of the products developed with Rowe will mark FlashPoint Candle’s first line of 100% food and cooking safe products appropriate for the oven, microwave or dishwasher, the companies pointed out

“We are excited to partner with Rowe Pottery to deliver a 100% American-made product to retailers and consumers,” Groeschel stated. “We are also eager to work with another growing, U.S.A.-based company that shares our desire to create beautiful, hand-crafted designs that overflow with character.”
