Ace Hardware Corporation has recognized six local Ace Hardware stores with the company’s third annual “Coolest Hardware Store” awards for their customized service. The six winners, named during Ace’s annual Platinum Conference held in Las Vegas this week, share common traits yet offer local flavor and product selection above and beyond most hardware stores, noted the retailer.

This year’s Coolest Hardware Store awards winners:

Ace Hardware of Ahoskie; Ahoskie, NC. Ace Hardware of Ahoskie offers a robust paint department as well as a selection of outdoor furniture, situated on the store’s “front porch.” The store offers a wide range of services, including glass repair, automotive chip key cutting and UPS shipping, as well as a distinctive gift shop.

Carmel Ace Hardware; Carmel, CA. Carmel Ace Hardware features two unique store front entrances providing a boutique-like feel to each area of the store. Upon entering, customers feel the ambience of the nearby Santa Cruz mountains with the presence of real redwood trees inside the store. Locally the store is known for its assortments ranging from painting supplies and plumbing materials to housewares and pet supplies.

Crosslake Ace Hardware; Crosslake, MN. Crosslake Ace Hardware features a 25-foot Ace hammer that stands outside the store, made out of a tree. The inside is just as exciting with its “man cave” that features top power equipment brands. The 25,000 square foot store also boasts a fully-stocked appliance room with a working kitchen shaped like a Chris-Craft boat.

Keith's Ace Hardware; Waco, TX. Residents can find power tools and sporting goods to lawn and garden supplies, as well as a wide selection of niche categories, such as a hunting department.

Lutz Ace Hardware; Lutz, FL. Lutz Ace Hardware features a wide range of services and products, including a fully stocked pool supply department, as well as a 2,500 square foot specialty gift boutique called E.L.L.A. The store also carries localized products to meet the needs of area residents, including marine products, bicycles, grills and a paint department.

Parkrose Ace Hardware; Portland, OR. Parkrose Ace Hardware is known for being one of the top Stihl retailers in the Pacific Northwest. Residents can also find a wide selection of niche categories, such as the store’s fastener department, unique rentals from the Ace Rental Place and the full line of Weber grills.

“We applaud this year’s winning stores for their commitment to providing a consistently amazing shopping experience for their local communities,” said Kane Calamari, vp/retail operations and new business at Ace Hardware Corporation.
