Kyocera has introduced its two-piece ceramic knife gift set for the holiday shopping season. The set features two of the most used knives in the kitchen— 5.5-Inch Santoku Knife and 3-Inch Paring Knife, the company said. The gift set knives feature handles in holiday colors.
Available in red or green, the colorful set assortment can be merchandised for gift-giving and holiday entertaining which, according to the company, is appealing to a broad audience because of growing awareness that ceramic knives can complement any cutlery collection. Each two-piece cutlery gift set comes with a Santoku Knife and Paring Knife.
The knives are designed with deeper blades for greater knuckle clearance. The thinner, sharper blade provides minimal resistance, requiring less pressure when cutting boneless meats or slicing vegetables. Ceramic knives are also chemically inert, so they won’t brown foods or transfer a metallic taste or smell, according to the company. Ceramic blades also won't rust or stain, because ceramic is impervious to acids, oils and salts, Kyocera added.
The Kyocera two-Piece Cutlery Gift Set comes packaged in a hanging box for display. It is available now and has a suggested retail price of $49.99.
