Anchor Hocking Relaunches ‘Fire-King’ Brand

Pairing nostalgia with a “hip” baking brand, Anchor Hocking “un-archived” its Fire-King ribbed glass for a new Baked by Fire-King line in collaboration with Baked founders, Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito. The “old is new again” bakeware and mixing bowl collection was showcased at the recent New York Tabletop Market.

Rolling out at Williams-Sonoma, the Baked by Fire-King assortment includes mixing bowls and baking pans that dovetail with some of Baked’s acclaimed desserts. Fire-King was first introduced in the 1950s.

Initial rollout of the new collection will feature three baking pans in varying sizes as well as three mixing bowls. Features of Fire-King include rounded bottoms for easy mixing, oversized capacity and graduated sizes for easy nesting and storage. Glass, too, will not warp, stain or retain odors and is oven, microwave, freezer, refrigerator and dishwasher safe, according to Anchor Hocking. Bowls in the new Baked line come in 1.5-quart, 2.5-quart and 4-quart sizes, with suggested retail prices of $10.99, $12.99 and $14.99, respectively.

Also in three sizes are glass bakeware pans that feature oversized handles for secure grip and rounded corners for even baking. Available in a 3-quart bake dish size, 8-inch square cake dish and a 1.5-quart loaf dish, the clear bake pans have suggested retail prices of $14.99, $12.99 and $11.99, respectively.
