Staples plans to stretch Black Friday into a full week, it announced. The company reported that it will run a range of promotions the week of Black Friday through Cyber Monday, in-stores and online.
Consumers who prefer to shop in-store will find Staples Black Friday deals available starting 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at most locations. Staples stores will open at that time and close at midnight where allowed, with exclusions including Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Maine. Stores will reopen on Friday, November 29 at 6 a.m. where permitted.
Besides special deals on electronics, Staples noted that it would offer a Trade-in/Trade-up technology recycling programs that provides holiday shoppers with cash towards the purchase of a new product and New Daily Deals on the completely revamped Staples.com site. Staples also will offer free shipping for Staples Rewards members. Non-rewards members receive free shipping for orders of $45 or more. Staples weekly ad will include its own presentation of upcoming deals and offers on everything from holiday prep items to the season’s top technology, the retailer asserted.
“At Staples, we’re making it easy for shoppers to find the perfect gift with amazing deals leading up to Black Friday through Cyber Monday,” said Alison Corcoran, Staples senior vp/North American stores and online marketing, in announcing the promotional schedule. “Staples provides more ways than ever to shop this holiday season, including our new Staples.com online storefront, in store with our knowledgeable associates, new Staples.com kiosk or at the Holiday Center.”
