Intent on integrating new technology into its product line, Ecovacs Robotics plans to introduce its D9 series, a new generation of Deebot floor cleaning robots, at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, the company has announced. The show runs January 7-10 in Las Vegas.
According to Ecovacs, the Deebot D9 series incorporates a range of new technologies and represents the most advanced floor cleaning robot product line available. An embedded LDS laser mapping system enables the D9 series to establish and remember the floor maps for cleaning guidance, the company related. Its straight line cleaning technology leads to better and more efficient cleaning, the company asserted, adding that operators can navigate D9 series cleaning robots using a smart phone or tablet via Wi-Fi connection. In doing so, they can schedule cleaning times, the company maintained, see how a D9 series robot has mapped out its path in the space to be cleaned and create barriers around areas they do not wish entered or approached.
The D9 series 4-stage cleaning system provides excellent cleaning efficacy, the company stressed. Among the D9 cleaning elements that Ecovacs highlights are a vacuum system deploying six soft brushes with a detachable rolling brush, dual side brushes, a new built-in squeegee and a reusable micro-fiber cloth mop.
In addition, because a D9 series robot remembers where it has cleaned, it won’t attend the same area twice even if it needs to recharge in the middle of a cleaning task, Ecovacs noted.
