Macy’s has restored a seasonal tradition, providing 24-hour shopping at select locations. Beginning Friday, December 20 at 7 a.m., 37 Macy’s stores in cities across the United States including Macy’s Herald Square in New York City, Union Square in San Francisco and State Street in Chicago will stay open overnight for four days in a row until Christmas Eve on Tuesday, December 24 at 6 p.m.
In addition to the 24-hour stores, most other Macy’s locations nationwide, except furniture galleries and certain designated units, will offer extended hours each night until 2 a.m. through December 23.
“Overnight shopping at Macy’s has become a holiday tradition that last minute gift-givers count on to get them through the time crunch of the season,” Peter Sachse, chief stores officer, Macy’s, Inc., said in regards to the initiative.
