Williams-Sonoma has launched a new line of exclusive kitchen tools, cookware, textiles, cutlery and tabletop called Open Kitchen. The new assortment is "inspired by the bustling, energetic kitchens of some of our favorite restaurants: durable cookware, functional tools and hardworking tableware that can do it all," the company said.
Featuring over 100 new items, the Open Kitchen collection has been designed as an everyday value line. Design elements are simple, with defining features such as open loop-handles and minimal material combinations.

For an SRP of $399, the company is offering a similar 10-piece set with an aluminum core, stainless steel exterior construction.
Starting at a $40 suggested retail price for a paring knife, the cutlery line features hot-drop forged construction from a solid piece of high-carbon Molybdenum Vanadium steel. Made in Germany and featuring synthetic handles, the cutlery line also includes open stock Santoku, serrated, bread, utility and chefs knives, maxing out at an SRP of $99 for the Santoku. Cutlery is also available in a four-piece steak knife set with a suggested retail price of $150 and a 7-piece knife block set with an MSRP of $250.
Tabletop items in the collection feature simple designs, such as all-white plates, bowls and mugs made of high-fired porcelain, crystal wine glasses and 13/0 stainless steel open stock utensils. Suggested retail prices for individual utensils range from $3 to $4 while plates, bowls, mugs and wine glasses range from $20 to $30 for a set of four.
