Kittrich Corp. has announced the strategic asset purchase of Legaré Furniture, the producer of flat-pack, tool-free assembly furniture. Kittrich sees broad strategic domestic and international distribution synergies with Legaré’s youth-themed furniture collections, according to the companies.
Legaré designs and distributes a full line of what it terms three-minute tool-free assembly furniture to over 25 countries around the globe. It has developed comprehensive product lines for both distributors and retailers, targeting affordable, fun furniture for home office, media, occasional, and kids bedrooms, the companies noted.
Founded in 1978, Kittrich Corp. has established global distribution for products in the home and office sectors including housewares, mattresses, yard goods, stationary and office, bath, organic bath, and others.
Lionel Chevalier, Legaré Europe managing director, said in a statement from the companies, “The growth of our themed kids furniture has been phenomenal. With the official launch of Legaré Europe and the union with Kittrich Corp., we are well positioned for dramatic growth in these recovering high-growth markets.”
Legaré will exhibit its European product range at the IMM Cologne Furniture Fair, running January 13 to 19 in Germany, Koelnmesse, Hall 8, space C-24.
