Monday January 13th, 2014 - 4:40PM

Groupe SEB's Greg Cairo has been named president of the CMA.

The Cookware Manufacturers Association’s board of directors has elected Greg Cairo as president and Darrin Johnston as vice president. The elections follow the passing in December of Lifetime Brands’ Bob Reichenbach, who was in the midst of his second term as CMA president.

“Bob’s loss is keenly felt within both the association and the industry, but I’m honored to fill the remainder of his term and keep the association moving forward,” Cairo said.  “The association is poised to continue its growth and influence in the new year.”

This year marks the 92nd year the Association has represented the interests of more than 30 member producers of both cookware and bakeware in the U.S. The association provides numerous services for members including standard development, statistical information, research, reports and government monitoring. For consumers and retailers, the association publishes helpful information on the selection, use and maintenance of cookware and bakeware.
