In a new initiative, kathy ireland Worldwide has launched a floral initiative that also will help it advance home décor. The company has partnered with the website OrganicBouquet.com and had two lines, a foliage and a flower collection, on the website in time for Valentine’s Day.
Nicholas Walker, who supervises the outdoor living-related Jardin business for kiWW and is spearheading the floral effort, said the company liked the prospect of working with an organic floral producer to do signature floral and foliage presentations. OrganicBouquest.com reflects the core value of finding solutions for busy moms, he said, in this case, those who have concerns about health, the environment and living standards overseas, all of which Organic Bouquet takes into account in its operation. Busy dads are likely to benefit, too, particularly around Valentine’s Day.
The flower launch is only the beginning of a new series of initiatives that will expand the kiWW business in the home décor as well as plant and floral sectors. In advancing the floral initiative, Walker said the company is looking to expand in related home décor areas such as candles. In that segment, kiWW has partnered with Root Candles. In vases, it already is working with East West Basics to produce a line of floral-related home décor products, building on their mutual jewelry box partnership. An associated fine crystal program also is under consideration.
