Wiliamsburg has entered a licensing program with portable and fixture lighting producer Robert Abbey, Inc. The collection, which will launch at the Spring High Point Market, includes 12 lighting families with contemporary takes on 18th-century designs, Williamsburg announced.

In the program the companies will translate traditional patterns to suit classic and contemporary interiors while incorporating modern materials for a trend-forward update, Williamsburg maintained.

The collection is inspired by 18th century pattern books, molded brick chimneys and elaborate chair details in keeping with the colonial Williamsburg association, the licensor noted, adding that the collection bears rich colors and bold shapes. Two outstanding pieces– a black crystal Dunmore Lamp based on the splat of a Virginia-made chair, and the Ming Lamp in the shape of a crystal and glass pagoda – express 18th-century global chic themes, according to Williamsburg. The collection includes ‘Mayo Teal,’ ‘Carter Gray,’ ‘Parrot Green’ and other shades from Benjamin Moore’s historically authentic Williamsburg Color Collection that correspond with current color trends, the licensor related.

Suggested retail price points will range from $250 to $750, Williamsburg reported.
