Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. is launching a new air purifier with five stages of filtration at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.
The launch marks Friedrich’s renewed entrance into the air purifier market. With its primary focus on room air conditioners in the summer, the air purifier lineup creates a foothold in the spring and fall allergy seasons.
The AP260 air purifier has a five-stage filtration process with an enhanced HEPA filter that is said to capture up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.03 microns. The system combines an antibacterial pre-filter, multi-filter, HEPA filter, carbon filter and plasma generator to effectively filter dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander and tobacco smoke for small to medium spaces up to 260 square feet.
The air quality sensor’s LED color gradient from blue (very good) to green (fair) to red (poor) gives consumers an easy to understand visual indicator of air quality, noted the company.
