Zwilling J.A. Henckels today announced the appointment of Scott Severinson as vp/business Development for the company's U.S. operations, effective April 1, 2014. Reporting to Guido Weishaupt, president and CEO of Zwilling U.S., Severinson joins Zwilling's executive team with more than 30 years of relevant industry experience.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Scott to the Zwilling family,” Weishaupt said. “Scott’s unparalleled knowledge of the industry paired with his strategic business approach will play a pivotal role in growing profitability and further expanding our footprint in the U.S. market.”
In his new role, Severinson will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and distribution channels to broaden Zwilling’s domestic retail presence, the company said. He will also serve as a strategic advisor to the U.S. team on product development, marketing and operational initiatives. Additionally, Severinson will manage several of Zwilling’s specialty business partners throughout the U.S.

Severinson serves as an executive board member of the International Housewares Association. He retired from Wusthof last year, where he worked since 1980.
