The AIMsights Group, a generational marketing research company, has chosen the top products from the 2014 International Home + Housewares Show that it expects to resonate with Millennial consumers (born between approximately 1982 and 2004) and Baby Boomers, in what it calls this year’s Top 10 Ping Pong Products. Ping Pong branding is the sharing of product recommendations between the two generations, something that occurs more regularly between these two generations than other generations, AIMsights said.
At the Housewares Show, AIMsights also introduced its new M@B Blueprint, a marketing tool that provides a methodical way of looking at the Millennials and Boomers as individual groups of consumers, as well as exploring how the two generations influence each other and drive sales.
The Top 10 Ping Pong Products from the 2014 Housewares Show are: Artland’s Lotus Grill, the Beaba Babycook Pro; Charles Viancin Silicone Lids, the Janome Derby Line Sewing Machine, Lodge Silicone Trivets, the Nespresso Vertuo, the Objecto H3 Hybrid Humidifier; Quirky’s VanishISO, the Verilux HappyLight 10K and Zadro’s Cordless Round Wall Mirror.
Honorable mentions include Joseph Joseph’s Nested Storage Set and Chef’n’s SweetSpot Ice Cream Maker.
