Luigi Bormioli’s new Duraturo Porcelain dinnerware expands the brand in the kitchen and dining room, in an effort to continue the company’s goal to be a “tabletop resource,” said Michael Duncan, president of Luigi Bormioli Corporation. The launch also makes the brand even more meaningful to the bridal consumer, as well as to those who entertain, he said.
“Luigi Bormioli glassware is designed to be the focal point of a beautifully appointed table setting; stylish dinnerware with advanced features is the natural complement to our glassware,” said Duncan.
Duraturo is said to be oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. There are six dinnerware patterns in all, called Amore, Diletto, Eterno, Gusto, Veridico and Vivendo. Four patterns are available now, with Amore and Diletto becoming available shortly.
The Duraturo dinnerware will be offered in 12-piece sets rather than the standard 16. The suggested retail is $89.99 for a 12-piece set. Hot beverage sets, which consist of four mugs, will also be available in all patterns for a suggested retail of $24.99.
The initial rollout is on some of the company’s customer websites and it will be featured on Luigi Bormioli’s own e-commerce website, which will launch this summer.
