Microplane has introduced a adjustable hand-held mandolin-style vegetable and fruit slicer that includes a julienne blade. The slicer, which will be available later this summer, features Microplane’s signature blades and is designed to transform foods into precise “matchstick” slices.
The slicer is designed to be practical, easy to store and simple to use, according to the company. It features three thickness levels for: thin (1/32-inch), medium (1/16-inch) and thick (1/8-inch), and is said to produce consistently even slices.
The slicer features a steel frame and a large capacity hand guard attachment designed for safety. Additionally, the julienne blade can be stored in an enclosed section on the back of the slicer.
Microplane’s new adjustable slicer with julienne blade is made in the U.S.A and the suggested retail price is $29.95. It will be available for shipping in August, 2013.
