HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® and the Homewares Show segment of the National Hardware Show are teaming up to present the seventh annual Homewares Show Awards competition at this year’s show. The event runs May 7 to 9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Homewares Show Awards program was launched in 2008 to recognize homewares/housewares manufacturers exhibiting at the Homewares Show who showcase the “Best of Class” in the category. The Homewares Show Awards program evaluates products based on aesthetics, differentiation/uniqueness, whether they fill consumer needs, overall value and packaging/merchandising support.
Awards will be presented in Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention.
A panel of merchants representing the wide scope of retail channels that attend the National Hardware Show are set to judge the 2013 Homewares Awards. The judging panel includes retailers that have been recognized by HomeWorld Business for their commitment to new product design, innovation and creative merchandising and presentation.
Judges from the following retail organizations are confirmed for this year’s Homewares Show Awards: Home Hardware, Home Shopping Network, Kelloggs & Lawrence Hardware, The Organizationalist, QVC, SkyMall, Storage Sources Group and WakeFern Food Corp.
“Innovative, new products have been catalysts for renewed growth in the housewares and home improvement markets,” Homeworld Business Editor-in-Chief Peter Giannetti said. “HomeWorld Business shares the National Hardware Show’s commitment to helping retailers identify these new products and sales growth opportunities.”
The awards will be presented during a special ceremony May 8, at 2 p.m. at the NRHA Village Stage in the central lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center. All attendees and Homewares Show exhibitors are invited.
