Portmeirion Group has reported that demand for its Royal Baby Collection has been on the rise, and following the announcement of the royal baby’s name, the Royal Worcester designs are now complete.
“Collectors have been patiently waiting for the naming since the announcement of the birth,” stated Wendy Motlaq, corporate vp for Portmeirion Group.
“Our Royal Worcester designs are now complete and available for order on Portmeirion.com. There’s a flurry of activity at our factory and a real sense of excitement. It’s going to be a very busy and enjoyable couple of weeks getting all the pieces delivered to our online customers,” she added.
Royal Worcester is known for producing commemorative collections that have celebrated some of Great Britain’s “finest moments in history,” and now, the birth of the first child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Royal Baby Collection is crafted from fine bone china and adorned in mica, platinum and gold. Each piece is hand decorated in England and presented in a gift box.
