RadioShack Corp. has made fresh changes in its executive suite with a Target veteran and another who has a background that includes Wal-Mart, Circuit City and Amazon.com. In September, the company announced that James Gooch had stepped down from his positions as CEO and director.
RadioShack has named Troy Risch executive vp/operations, it stated, noting that Risch is a 19-year veteran of Target Corp. His responsibilities will include store operations and real estate.
At the same time, Radio Shack named Huey Long executive vp/strategy and consumer insights. Long is a 22-year retail veteran, most recently with Wal-Mart Stores, where he was senior vp, general merchandise manager at Sam’s Club, Radio Shack noted. He has held progressive responsibilities with retailers including Circuit City where he was merchandise manager and national buyer, and Amazon.com, where he was director of global merchandising, Radio Shack added.
