Rutenis Leaves J.C. Penney

Paul Rutenis, senior vp/gmm for J.C. Penney’s Home division, is no longer with the retailer. A company spokesperson said, “We thank him for his contributions to the company, and wish him well in his future endeavors.” J.C. Penney did not comment on whether a successor has been named.

Rutenis had been promoted to senior vp/gmm in June of 2012. He joined the retailer in April 2011 as the divisional merchandise manager of furniture and decorative accessories. Prior to joining J.C. Penney, Rutenis worked for May Department Stores from 1991 in a series of merchandising roles, then joined Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2006 as a divisional merchandise manager.
