Staples has relaunched its website, which promises that the updated functionality will be easier, faster and provide more, including lifestyle products. The update makes it easier for shoppers, including professionals, to reorder product such as toner but also to shop lifestyle categories, including products as diverse as candles, accent chairs and sewing machines.
On the top of its web page, Staples currently mounts a video presentation under the title “Easier. Faster More.” that guides users to what’s new.
The refreshed website offers navigation tools that allow shoppers to browse through the headings: Products, Technology and Services, as well as Shop By Industry. It offers a deals click through and simplifies reordering, Staples pointed out. Products are pictured bigger and brighter, the company stated, and purchasing requires fewer clicks. Staples also has made it easier to use rewards points, it noted.
Staples has been making strides to not only provide a better experience shopping for office and home office products but also a widening array of lifestyle products including home goods as it seeks to convert web traffic for items such as toner and paper into a broader sweep of merchandise including a range of home goods. According to vendors, the company also is looking to expand the assortment on store floors to coax consumers into buying products from additional product segments through Staples locations.
