The Companion Group Announces Marketing Department Expansion

The Companion Group has announced that they are expanding the marketing department with the addition of two new positions, adding Danielle Peterson as culinary communications manager and Niki Gross as marketing communications manager.

Peterson and Gross will combine forces to expand the function of the marketing department at the company with Peterson primarily overseeing media relations and culinary development, while Gross will concentrate on growing The Companion Group’s digital brand presence, including social media. Simone Chavoor, media assistant, will remain in her role and will continue to support the marketing department’s media efforts.

Peterson comes to The Companion Group with a combination of marketing and culinary experience. She has nearly 10 years of marketing experience, primarily on the agency side. Peterson is also a graduate of San Francisco’s California Culinary Academy and has spent more than two years apprenticing at top restaurants, including The French Laundry and Chez Panisse.

Gross has more than 10 years of experience in executing integrated marketing campaigns that include email marketing, social media, advertising, branding, public relations, event planning and direct mail.  She previously worked with The Companion Group brands during her time at Kitchen Kapers as a publicist and cooking class coordinator.

Peterson and Gross have been appointed to their new positions as Sarah Goodwin, public relations and communications manager, is leaving the company to relocate to Paris, France, with her family.
