Totally Bamboo has expanded its line of bamboo products with a new collection of laser-etched cutting/serving boards and saltboxes.
“We have been working with bamboo for many years,” said Tom Sullivan, co-owner of Totally Bamboo. “It is a beautiful material with a lot of natural character, but that does not mean that you can’t further enhance the final product and that is exactly what we have done with our laser-etched cutting boards.”
Included in the new line are nine boards and four round saltboxes. Two of the nine boards are dedicated to the world of wines and beers, with wine bottle and jug shapes. Both have a suggested retail of $19.99.
The company is also expanding the laser etching to its more traditional rectangular shaped boards. The Circles Cut’n Serve and the Fern Cut’n Serve, both available in two sizes, feature recurring patterns of interlocking circles and fern leaves, respectively. Suggested retail prices range from $14.99 to $19.99.
The Tree of Life cutting and serving board features an intricate tree-ring pattern that includes images of approximately 800 exotic or endangered animals laser-etched into the tree rings. A percentage of the sales of the Tree of Life board will help to plant trees in U.S. National Forests in partnership with the National Forest Foundation. Suggested retail is $59.99.
“It is amazing the amount of detail that you can achieve with computer guided lasers,” added Sullivan. “The etchings really do enhance the beauty of the bamboo and turn what would normally be just another cutting board into a unique conversation piece.”
Saltboxes have also been given the laser-etched treatment and are available in the fern, circle, leaves and tree of life designs. Suggested retails for the salt boxes are $10.49.
