Trepp To Succeed Retiring Morecroft As Hamilton Beach CEO; LeBrun To Become President Of The Kitchen Collection

Dr. Michael Morecroft, president and CEO of NACCO Industries’ Hamilton Beach Brands subsidiary, will retire on December 31, 2009, according to a company release.

Upon Morecroft’s retirement, Gregory Trepp, currently vp/global business for Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. and interim president and CEO of NACCO’s The Kitchen Collection retailing subsidiary, will become president and CEO of Hamilton Beach Brands. Trepp will continue as CEO of The Kitchen Collection, Inc.

Housewares retailing veteran Bob LeBrun, who joined The Kitchen Collection earlier this year as its chief merchant, will be come president of The Kitchen Collection, effective January 1, 2010.

Morecroft has been president and CEO of Hamilton Beach Brands since 2001. He joined what Hamilton Beach in 1987, when it was owned by Glen Dimplex. As part of the management transition beginning in 2010, Morecroft will serve on the boards of Hamilton Beach Brands and The Kitchen Collection, Inc. as vice chairman.

Trepp joined Hamilton Beach Brands in January 1996 as director of marketing.

Alfred Rankin, Jr., chairman, president and CEO of NACCO Industries, will become chairman of both the Hamilton Beach Brands and Kitchen Collection boards.
Also effective January 1, 2010, Gregory Salyers, currently vp/global operations for Hamilton Beach Brands, will be appointed senior vp/global operations; and Scott Tidey, currently vp/ North America sales and marketing for Hamilton Beach Brands, will be appointed senior/vp, North America sales and marketing.
