Urban Trend will enter the kitchen gadget market with the formal introduction of a new family of kitchenware products this year at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago. The gadgets rolling out, which mark a new direction for the company, feature a stylish, coordinated look that’s distinctly Urban Trend, as well as innovations that provide users with significant performance advantages, according to Michael Stoll, president of the company.
“We have made a huge commitment to the kitchen gadget business. This line has been in development for two years. We’ve put together a strong development team and decided to go into this business to try to create our own brand and our own little niche,” he said.
The first two products to be unveiled are a “next generation” garlic press and unique bagel cutter that feature proprietary designs, the company noted.
When choosing the kitchenware category, Stoll said, the company considered a sector where the company could incorporate its ability to design and manufacture product that is different, innovative and creative.
Additional gadgets will launch later in the year.
