Viante Introduces Filtering Electric Kettle

Viante Home Products Co. has introduced what it is billing as, “the first water kettle in the U.S. to have a built-in filter.” Partnering with water filtration supplier Mavea, Viante is now offering an electric kettle with a built-in Mavea filter that removes chlorine and other chemicals, as well as sediment and particles that can affect the taste of water, it stated.

The new filtered kettle is designed to eliminate any extraneous water tastes that could affect the flavor of herbal teas, beverages and other foods that consumers might prepare using boiled water from the kettle. The unit has a “fast flow” filter that allows filtering and boiling to take place at the same time along with a filter life indicator that lets users know when it is time to change the filter, Viante noted.
