Wüsthof Trident of America, Inc. has announced organizational changes for its U.S. business to position the company and brand for continued success and customer focus. Rene Arnold, CFO and COO, has been elevated to the position of U.S. CEO, the position previously held by Harald Wüsthof. Wüsthof will continue as the company’s chairman and managing partner in Germany.
Arnold will assume responsibility for overseeing the company’s business in the U.S., reporting to Wüsthof. Scott Severinson, previously president sales/marketing, is no longer with the company.
Additionally, to enhance customer support and focus, Wüsthof has aligned its sales and marketing efforts into four dedicated groups led by current executives. As part of these organizational enhancements, the following executives will add to their responsibilities the leadership of each market segment:
- Annette Garaghty – vp sales/key accounts and marketing
- Todd Myers – vp sales/independent retailers
- Adam Fischer – vp sales/internet
- Bill Colwin – vp sales/food service
This leadership team, together with the chairman and CEO, will be responsible for managing the corporate strategy and brand development of Wüsthof, the company said.
“We are fortunate to have an incredibly strong, deep and experienced team at Wüsthof and we are thrilled to expand the roles of these key executives, who together have more than 65 years of experience with Wüsthof,” said Harald Wüsthof. “As the company continues to grow, we are confident this structure will provide the best support for our customers and the Wüsthof brand over the long term. This transition will have no material impact on the company’s customer interaction, in fact, will make those relationships stronger in the long run by creating increased focus within each customers’ specific market segment.”
Wüsthof continued, “Next year will be a truly historic year for Wüsthof as we celebrate our 200th anniversary at a time when the Wüsthof brand is as strong as it’s ever been. We appreciate the continued loyal support of our consumers and retail partners, and look forward to beginning the next chapter in Wüsthof’s long history.”
