CES Names Aisha Tyler 2017 Ambassador

CES has named actor, director, author and comedian Aisha Tyler the ambassador for the 2017 event, according to the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the show owner and producer.

Tyler is host of CBS’ Emmy-winning “The Talk,” a series regular on CBS’ “Criminal Minds,” and the voice of Lana Kane in FX’s Emmy-winning “Archer.” She hosts the CW’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” She is also an avid gamer and tech enthusiast, according to the CTA.

“I can’t think of a more perfect ambassador for CES than Aisha Tyler,” said Karen Chupka, svp/CES and corporate business strategy, CTA. “Aisha has torn down barriers for women and diversity in technology, effortlessly integrated and encouraged the use of tech in everyday life and redefined what it means to be a ‘gamer.’ CES encompasses every aspect of tech and Aisha is a superb example of how innovative technologies can be positive influences in our lives.”

Tyler said, “As a podcaster, author, producer and filmmaker, I can attest to how technology has not only made my life better, but more creatively robust, dynamic and productive in every way. Technological innovation is my artistic secret weapon. I am incredibly honored to be the CES ambassador for 2017.”

CES 2017 will run January 5 through 8, 2017, in Las Vegas.
