LG Adds Voice Activation To Home Comfort Lineup

LG Electronics USA Air Conditioning Technologies has added to its connected product lineup with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa integration.

The brand’s smart appliance owners can now use voice commands from anywhere within range of the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to adjust thermostat settings on the LG air conditioner and check the air quality level in the home using the LG air purifier.

Users can setup voice activation using the company’s free LG SmartThinQ app, available for Android and iOS. With the app, users can control the entire lineup of LG smart appliances in their home.

“LG is unique in that we have a broad range of products for consumers which makes it easy for homeowners to enjoy all the convenience of today’s connected home,” said Kevin McNamara, svp/LG Air Conditioning Technologies. “Now that we have expanded our WiFi capability to 13 more indoor units, nearly all of our indoor units are connected in the LG smart home ecosystem.”
