At this year’s International Home + Housewares Show, Gibson Overseas unveiled the fruits of its new partnership with Pasabahce, which gave Gibson access to Pasabahce’s full catalog of over 22,000 items and exclusive distribution of the brand in the U.S. market.
“Gibson is a company that originally started by manufacturing glassware. As such, this product is part of Gibson’s DNA. We are excited at the opportunity to bring a glassware focus back to Gibson in a strong way,” Sal Gabbay, Gibson’s CEO, told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS®.
The new collection features glassware items for everyday use such as stemware, tumblers, double old fashioneds, bakeware and juice glasses. Items will include the Enoteca and Allegra wine glasses; everyday drinkware such as the Horizon and Linka coolers; and durable items for the table and kitchen such as Boracam bakeware. Gibson and Pasabahce are also expanding the glassware offerings into handmade glassware, colored glass, coffee and tea and additional items for the table and kitchen.
Gibson is currently managing a soft launch of the program with existing Pasabahce inventory in the U.S. According to Gabbay, Gibson will use this initial launch to better understand the Pasabahce product offering and market opportunities, and fully integrate their programs into its sales and distribution network.
