Aldi is expanding its payment options. The supermarket retailer is now accepting Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Android Pay at the check stand.
The company said it would accept the new payment options at all of its nearly 1,700 stores nationwide. Shoppers will be able to tap their contactless-enabled bank card, smart phone or other wearable device on a payment terminal as they check out of the store.
“We’re continually innovating to provide our customers a faster, more efficient shopping experience that saves them time and money,” said Jason Hart, Aldi CEO. “Shoppers love Aldi because we build and run stores they can shop quickly. Contactless payment makes shopping at Aldi that much faster and more convenient.”
