As it looks forward to the holidays, Amazon is touting its expanded free delivery options, providing Prime members across the United States access to more than 10 million items available for next-day drop-off.
Amazon also has expanded its Prime free same-day delivery to millions of more members since the 2018 holiday season, the company said. Today, Amazon Prime members in 46 major metropolitan areas have free one-day and same-day delivery available.
In addition, consumers can choose to have their holiday orders securely delivered to a self-service Hub Locker in more than 900 cities and towns across the U.S., including Whole Foods Market locations, at no additional cost, Amazon said.
Shoppers also have the option of picking up their Amazon packages at thousands of Hub Counter partner locations including staffed pickup areas at Rite Aid, GNC, Stage and Health Mart stores. Prime members in 50 U.S. metropolitan areas also have access to secure, convenient package delivery with Key by Amazon, a service that employs delivery personnel to drop packages off inside customer homes, cars, or garages.
Prime members also can take advantage of the Amazon Day program and have all their orders arrive together on the day of their choice. Most items eligible for Prime delivery and shipped by Amazon fall under the program.
