This year, Amazon is running its Prime Day sales promotion from July 15 to 16, but it already has begun running associated deals, including in home categories, and announced a high-profile musical event that will promote the main occasion.
On the home front, Amazon has begun launching pre-Prime Day promotions including discounts of up to 20% off furniture and décor from its own Rivet, Stone & Beam, and Ravenna Home brands among a range of private label initiatives, the retailer noted.
Other discounts Amazon is set to roll out include deals on Amazon Devices, Amazon Music, Prime Video, Twitch Prime, Audible, Prime Bookbox, Kindle Unlimited and Amazon fashion.
Amazon also is drawing a link between back-to-school shopping and Prime Day. The company has launched its Happy School Year store featuring school essential, electronics, apparel and home-related merchandise including furniture and small electrics.
On July 10, in the lead up to the Prime Day event, Taylor Swift will headline a live streaming concert. Along with Swift, the concert will feature the performers Dua Lipa, SZA, and Becky G. Actress Jane Lynch will host the event, produced under Amazon Music, which will provide on-demand streaming after the live show on a Prime Video presentation featuring select songs from each performance.
