Ameriwood is building on its design initiatives in bedroom furniture for the Fall High Point Market. The Dorel Industries operation will spotlight expanded bedroom collections under the company’s Ameriwood, Cosco and Altra brands.
For example, Ameriwood designed the Applegate collection for consumers who want color to pop in children’s rooms. The Applegate collection uses variously colored fabric bins for the storage of clothing and other necessities, and the bins match the line’s Prism metal crib and toddler bed. Bin colors include light blue, lime green, bright pink and orange. The combination of nursery and juvenile furniture elements are designed to allow the Applegate collection to grow with a child, noted Ameriwood.
In addition, the Graffiti collection, under the company’s Cosco brand, uses design to encourage the exercise of children’s imaginations. A chalkboard finish keeps children engaged and entertained as they can draw or even practice spelling or math while playing in their rooms.
Each piece in the Graffiti collection has a convenient ledge where kids can place erasers and chalk when not in use, Ameriwood noted. The white finish is said to be easy to wipe clean and works with just about any décor. The Graffiti collection includes a four drawer dresser, toy chest, armoire, night stand, desk, twin bed and three drawer dresser.
