Dorel’s Ameriwood Home division is exploring small space living as it gets ready for the Spring High Point Market.
Consumers are downsizing for economic and lifestyle reasons, and Ameriwood intends to help them maximize the return they get from furnishing their smaller living spaces, noted Brianna Phares, Ameriwood Home marketing director.
The company is dedicating a portion of its showroom space to dorm- and apartment-sized living. In taking on small spaces, the company not only is addressing function but style. Ameriwood Home will arrive at market with the Carter collection, among other space-saving furniture, one that features rustic-industrial-style items. Devised with low profiles, open shelves, and light neutral colors, Carter product designs minimize clutter.
“Customers want their homes to reflect their lifestyles, and our furniture is echoing that,” Phares said. “Over a quarter of today’s shoppers are looking for a product that will work in small spaces. Our pieces let them keep the style they prefer at an affordable price.”
