Andis Announces Headquarters Expansion, Personnel Additions

Andis Company today announced plans for a 50,000 square foot expansion of its Sturtevant, WI headquarters. The expansion will open up additional space for manufacturing and warehousing while generating job opportunities to the area, according to the company. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of this summer. “With pride, Andis Company has been calling Racine County home for 88 years,” said Matthew K. Andis, executive vice president, Andis. “Partnering with the Village of Sturtevant, we look forward to fostering our mission to create value for our customers, community, and families; fulfill our passion for growth; and fuel our dedication to legacy.”
Andis Company’s existing facilities house office space, plus manufacturing, assembly, and distribution operations in over 107,000 square feet. According to the company, the expansion will be constructed on the south side of the building to provide easy flow of product.
The company also announced today that Thomas George has joined the company as vp/operations and that Ivan Zoot has been promoted to Director of Education and Customer Engagement.
In his new position, George is responsible for all phases of the manufacturing process, including purchasing, quality assurance, scheduling, process and product implementation, productivity, and maintenance.
“Tom’s background in manufacturing and engineering is excellent,” said Matthew K. Andis. “He has extensive experience in lean manufacturing environments. He also maintains a collaborative leadership style and strong work ethic that will contribute to the continued success of Andis Company. We look forward to having Tom be a part of our team.”
Zoot, in his new position, is responsible for strengthening the Andis brand through improved communication and education about Andis products with both sales groups and customers, according to the company.
“Ivan has been both creative and prolific in his efforts to expand awareness of Andis products throughout the various markets that we are involved with,” says Gary Stanczyk, vice president of sales at Andis. “He frequently posts videos on YouTube demonstrating and explaining how to use our products. He is also well known at trade shows for his lively repartee during educational showcases.”
