NY Now, The Market for Home + Lifestyle will extend its range of resources for retailers with the launch of a new co-located event, Impulse at NY Now, beginning in August 2014. Presented alongside NY Now’s New! Collection at the Passenger Ship Terminal’s Pier 94, this new trade event will offer buyers exclusive access to some 100 suppliers of impulse and point-of-purchase specialty gifts and accessories.
Impulse at NY Now exhibitors, which will be carefully curated by Emerald Expositions, will showcase a complementary array of best-selling, high-margin impulse and point-of-purchase merchandise, including specialty gifts, affordable fashion accessories, travel/leisure products and health and beauty items. Approximately 100 companies are expected to participate in the inaugural edition this August.
“This is the first of many exciting synergies resulting from Emerald Expositions’ recent acquisition of NY Now and GLM,” said Christopher McCabe, executive vice president of Emerald Expositions. “Impulse at NY Now is a reimagining and repositioning of our ASD New York Wholesale Expo as an extension of NY Now, the nation’s premier marketplace for design-driven home and lifestyle merchandise. By running concurrently with the NY Now’s New! Collection, we can increase the number and type of resources presented to NY Now attendees and continue to provide Emerald Exposition’s ASD exhibitors with new market opportunities.”
The first edition of Impulse at NY Now will be presented Saturday, August 16, through Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Passenger Ship Terminal’s Pier 94 in New York City. Show hours will mirror NY Now, running 9am – 6pm daily, except on the last day, when the show will close at 5pm. One badge will grant access to all exhibits.
NY Now’s New! Collection showcases more than 200 newcomers to the New York Market. According to Christian Falkenberg, NY Now director and senior vice president, “Impulse at NY Now will nicely complement the New! Collection’s full spectrum of design-driven home and lifestyle merchandise, giving buyers additional options for moderate price point lifestyle products.”
