Belk is inviting consumers to add a touch of southern hospitality to their homes with the addition of Southern Specialty Shops in its home departments.
The company said it has added the shops to 150 home departments across its 16-state market footprint. The displays emphasize a lifestyle approach to merchandising.
Participating Belk stores have a designated area for specialized merchandise that will rotate every three months. These areas will be a destination to tell the story of southern tradition and authenticity of the “new South,” the company said. Customers visiting these one-stop shops will find gifts and home décor including southern foods, candles, wreaths, outdoor lights, tableware, tea towels and more modern, southern styles.
“We want our customers to find the perfect fixings for their home and this addition in our modern home department is a great way to open the door to new opportunities for all homeowners,” said Katie Kirby, merchandise manager for men’s, kid’s and home for Belk.
