Boska Holland Cheesewares, a Holland-based manufacturer of cheese tools, has opened a showroom in New York City. Boska’s collection of cheese tools includes knives, slicers, boards, raclettes and fondue pots.
‘We are incredibly excited about our Boska Cheese Experience in the lively and attractive setting of the Flatiron district. I am beyond thrilled to stand here in the middle of a food, cheese, party loving crowd. For me this is a dream coming true. What my great grandfather started in 1896 in a tiny Dutch Village right next to the city of Gouda, really took flight,” said Martijn Bos, fourth-generation owner, Boska.
Bos noted that the company’s products are sold in 90 countries. His father, Joop Bos, who was also present at the showroom opening, was responsible for building the company business in the Netherlands.
The company recently received six Red Dot awards for product design, for its Party Fondue Mr. Big, Candle Light Fondue Twinkle, Partyclette XL and the Fondue Set Copper. Boska’s Raclette Quattro Concrete and the Cheese Slicer Monaco also received honorable mentions.
