Shannon Curtin, gvp/gmm for beauty and personal care for Walgreens, will leave the company, effective September 1. According to the company, Curtin has decided to pursue other opportunities.
In regards to Curtin’s departure, Walgreens supplied HOMEWORLD BUSINESS with the following statement: “Shannon made important contributions to expand our beauty business over the last six years. During her tenure, Walgreens created an online Beauty University program and launched a monthly magazine for our best customers. Shannon’s love of the beauty category and her positive interpersonal approach are admirable, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors.”
Walgreens also reported that as of September 8, Lauren Brindley will be taking the role of gvp/gmm of its beauty and personal care business. Brindley joins Walgreens after holding several positions at Walgreens Boots Alliance and has also held positions at Tesco in the UK.
