SAN FRANCISCO— At the recent National Hardware Show, Brondell expanded its healthy home platform, unveiling three new air purifiers that will hit the market this summer, according to Jon Pinson, marketing manager for Brondell.
The new air purifiers add to Brondell’s growing home comfort lineup. Last year, the company entered the air purification segment with the O2+ series, which included the Balance and Source air cleaners.
Pinson noted that the proliferation of e-commerce, such as Amazon, has given the air purifier category a boost.
At traditional brick-and-mortar retail, “A lot of it comes down to shelf space and floor space,” Pinson said.
The company has aligned the new air purifiers as part of a good, better, best strategy, he said.
The entry level air purifier, Halo, features three stage filtration, which includes True HEPA. It also features auto-mode and a three stage colored light air quality indicator.
The next model, Revive, features both air purification and humidification. Two additional features of the Revive air cleaner are eco-mode and an allergen function.
The company’s high-end air cleaner, Altitude, has a clean-air delivery rate of 251, and can filter up to 1,600 square feet. It features three-stage filtration with an antimicrobial-coated mesh pre-filter, activated, granulated carbon filter and True HEPA. The Altitude unit features quiet operation, eco-mode, automatic filter change indicator and timer. A color-coded air quality indicator offers four stages.
