CDN Celebrates 35 Years In Business

Component Design Northwest (CDN) is celebrating its 35th anniversary with several new company initiatives this year, including new packaging, a 35th anniversary logo and an updated website.

The new initiatives come on the heels of CDN’s brand refresh in 2016, when it launched a new logo and tagline to support its expansion beyond its core timer and thermometer lineup into the kitchen scale segment.

The packaging has gone through an entire refresh to showcase the company’s updated logo, fonts and streamlined bullets describing the products. In addition, to help customers with merchandising all of the products, thermometers, timers and kitchen scales will each have different color bands in order to make a distinction between them so if a consumer is searching for something in particular, they can use the color coding to find what they need.

As for the website, enhancements were made in order to provide customers with a more immersive experience. For example, the company is adding all necessary product support assets including sell sheets, PDFs, instructions and will have all materials written in English and French, to support its Canadian customers as well.

As for what the company will be working on in 2019, CDN is going to focus on its latest introductions, including its assortment of digital kitchen scales that are still rolling out, as well as some of its newest thermometers that feature thermocouple technology.
