Chef Spike Mendelsohn To Appear At Spectrum Brands Booth

Renowned chef Spike Mendelsohn will be at the Spectrum Brands International Home + Housewares Show booth to help promote the company’s new pizza oven that is said to make frozen pizza in five minutes.

Mendelsohn will be at the booth (Lakeside-11331) Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Equipped with a ceramic coated tray, the unit will accommodate pizzas up to 12-inches and offers several functions that allow the unit to cook thin-crust pizza, deep-dish pizza, rising crust pizza along with frozen snacks. Suggested retail price is $149.99.

Best known for his Washington, D.C.-area restaurants including Good Stuff Eatery and Béarnaise, Mendelsohn also owns We, The Pizza, with locations near the U.S. Capitol Building and Arlington, VA. According to We, The Pizza’s website, the restaurant opened in 2010 and the menu includes an array of traditional and specialty pies along with fresh salads, wings and homemade Italian sodas.

Mendelsohn has also been a contestant on Bravo TV’s Top Chef and Food Network’s Next Iron Chef.
