Kitchen electrics supplier Chefman will officially launch Club Chefman here at the International Home + Housewares Show. The interactive, web-based platform will give consumers an opportunity to view cooking tutorials and also seek cooking assistance from Chef Bobby Trevino.
ClubChefman.com will feature cooking videos and allow registered users to interact with one another to share ideas and recipes. In addition, registered users will be able to ask Chef Bobby questions on a host of cooking-related topics that could range from meal preparation to overcoming dietary restrictions. All responses to questions will remain on the website for future reference, company officials said.
“With Club Chefman, we are taking the user experience to a level not seen before,” said Pinny Kahana, the company’s vp/sales and marketing. “Cooking is a solo type of activity, but we want to make it more of a social experience.”
Ralph Newhouse, CEO of Chefman, said the development of Club Chefman was in response to the changing shopping behavior of today’s consumer.
“We needed to come up with a modern way to interact with shoppers,” he said. “Consumers today want to engage with product suppliers and we felt we had to react to this changing landscape to stay relevant.”
