Church & Dwight has signed a definitive agreement with Ideavillage Products to acquire its Flawless and Finishing Touch hair removal brands.
The deal, with a total value of upwards of $900 million, is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the second quarter, the company said.
“Flawless provides simple, fast, dermatologist-approved solutions for face, brows and legs,” said Matthew T. Farrell, Church & Dwight CEO. “Flawless represents a powerful addition to our specialty haircare portfolio which includes Batiste dry shampoo, Viviscal hair thinning supplements, and Toppik hair fibers.”
According to the company, Flawless net sales for the 12 months ended December 31, 2018, were approximately $180 million. The products are marketed in the U.S. and more than 30 countries. Approximately 10% of net sales come from international markets.
“We have found the perfect partner for our Flawless brand and for accomplishing our vision of expanding into new categories and markets,” said Andy Khubani, Ideavillage CEO. “Our cultures complement one another beautifully and I’m very excited and confident in the future.”
Flawless and Finishing Touch join Church & Dwight’s stable of personal care brands that include Arm & Hammer, Oxiclean, Nair, Waterpik and Trojan.
